HIKING: Pacific Crest Trail: Northern California: R to the Oregon Border

← OR ILLINOIS RIVER KERBY Triple Blaze →

Description

Section R is the last section of the Pacific Crest Trail in California and it runs 36.7 miles from Highway 96 at Seiad Valley to the California/Oregon border. This section stays high up in the mountains as it makes a long traverse to the Oregon Cascades. There are many logging roads in the area, so the trail is usually paralleling a road.

Along the way the trail passes Seiad Valley, CA; School House Gulch; Lower Devils Peak Lookout Trail 12W04; Fern Spring; Lookout Spring; Cook and Green Pass; Road 47N81; Road 40S01; Wards Fork Gap; and Donomore Creek.
